David Todd Born: 3 June 1949; Died: 17 January 2022.

David became a Freeman in February 1971 following the death of his father David (Known as Leslie). He proudly displayed both certificates on his wall and enjoyed meeting fellow freemen at the last dinner held pre-COVID. David spent most of his working life with Barclays bank, beginning in remote parts of Upper Teesdale, Weardale and Northumberland. He moved with the Bank to London and then further afield to manage a branch in Swaziland (Eswatini).

Whilst in the North-east he developed a lifelong love of Folk Music. David was an active member of the Round Table in England and Swaziland. He later joined its senior incarnation, 41 Club. In Swaziland the group supported many medical charities locally. David was a member of the Southbank and liked going to the Theatre as well as being able to enjoy a Good Ale. He followed a family tradition of lawn bowls becoming well known across the Home Counties and particularly in Middlesex where he lived.
